Global Impact Phils Foundation started converging government and non-government agencies in August 2016 to celebrate the International Day of Peace through a week-long series of activities that highlight the city’s Peace Goals and Initiatives. Adopting the theme “Building Blocks for Sustainable Development Goals” of the United Nations celebration, the Davao Peace Fair 2016 was envisioned to bring together multi-sectoral groups such as civil society, religious groups, youth organizations, security sector, and others in a common activity where the international celebration will promote awareness on peace issues and initiatives. The culminating activity was held September 21, 2016 at the Activity Center of the SM Annex Building in Ecoland, Davao City, with 51 participating agencies/organizations.
