Global Impact’s Freedom!Philippines anti-human trafficking campaign has organized its first ever Freedomfighter Club at the University of Mindanao (UM) last June 2016. Accredited by the university as an official student organization, the Freedomfighter Club – UM seeks to:
1. Equip the students to be a voice against injustice including exploitation, human trafficking and abuse;
2. Provide a venue for students to take action, to spread awareness and therefore reduce vulnerability;
3. Implement events for a cause in line with Freedom!Philippines campaign;
4. Enhance the leadership skills of students for community & national impact;
5. Align with the goals of the university.

The Club has actively participated in the university’s Intramurals and other events, resulting in its being featured in the university’s school paper as well as a significant increase in membership.
This will be replicated in all other schools and universities all over Davao Region and outside to ensure a strong freedomfighter volunteers base to spread the anti-human trafficking message of Global Impact.
