FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT

New Zealand Ministry

Earlier this month, Pastor Amy ministered at Hope Centre church in New Zealand. Global Impact staff, Jorgen Jordan shares more:

Pastor Amy’s powerful message on Spiritual Resilience, exemplified by Apostle Paul’s life, was truly impacting.

As Pastor Amy delved into 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” but to reframe the verse in the present tense: “I am fighting the good fight, I am finishing the race, I am keeping the faith,” gave a fresh perspective.

I couldn’t help but reflect on my own journey.

Am I investing my time, energy, and emotions in a fight that truly matters?
Am I fighting the good fight, or am I getting drawn into battles that aren’t mine to fight?
Am I finishing my race with resilience, compassion, and grace?
Am I holding onto my faith, no matter what?

Apostle Paul’s words to Timothy are all the more remarkable considering his incredibly challenging life. Yet, he confidently declares that he finished his race well. What fueled his confidence? His resilience.

This message reminded me that spiritual resilience is key to overcoming life’s challenges. Pastor Amy’s message inspired me to aspire to Apostle Paul’s unwavering dedication and perseverance, and to pursue Jesus with greater passion and resilience.

What’s more, I feel beyond blessed and grateful to be serving alongside Pastor Amy on this mission trip. Witnessing her in action overseas has been truly inspiring! ❤️

Modern Slavery

She was able to share the work of Global Impact, invite participants to join as partners and share the vision of working together to end the modern day slavery of an estimated 50 million victims all over our world.

It was wonderful to hear attendees support and encouragement in this work!

UKRAINE

We are in need of donors who would partner with us on a monthly basis for the needs of our Ukraine children’s home. If you would be willing to donate $10 a month, we would be so grateful!

In February we welcomed two new children to Living Pearl Children’s Home. This means that their lives will change forever! We believe that here they will find love, care and hope for a better future!

Despite all that is happening on the international stage, children are innocent.

Not only have these children come from

hardship in their personal lives but they’ve also lived in a country at war for 3 years.

I am so grateful to our wonderful donors who partner with us to give them a safe and loving home. It is your partnership and prayers that are truly changing their lives! – Pastor Amy

PHILIPPINES

BREAKING THE CYCLE OF POVERTY

Through Education Sponsorship

Our Education Scholarship Program supports students from Elementary to University Level who would not otherwise be able to afford school.
Global Impact’s Education Scholarship Program which began almost two decades ago provides holistic support for deserving students who come from backgrounds of financial challenge.

“EmpowerED for Success” supports selected students from elementary to college age and provides tuition, counseling, life skills education and even laptops and internet access with the aim to equip students for success in their school careers and beyond.

Our scholars come from diverse backgrounds and are largely identified through our annual Catalyst Leadership Academy program.

This past academic year, Global Impact’s scholarship program supported 30 Filipino scholars ranging from elementary to university level.

We celebrate the milestone of graduation with two of our program scholars this year!

1 High School Graduate
1 University Graduate who earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work

Fields of study for our university level students for the 2024/2025 academic year included:

  • Psychology
  • Information Technology
  • Computer Science
  • Agribusiness
  • Criminology
  • Social Work

The need is great to help young people who severely lack financial resources but are qualified and motivated.

Access to education is a crucial key to breaking the cycle of poverty!
