Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC)

ABOVE: February 6th arrest by Philippines Task Force against OSAEC crimes.
Philippines – Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) is a heinous crime that is often perpetrated by family members or individuals known and trusted by the children. Unlike other forms of trafficking, it can occur inside the victims home making detection more challenging.
In a recent sting earlier this month, the Philippines OSAEC Task Force, arrested a woman and her cohorts for sexually exploiting eight minors including her four daughters.
EDUCATION + AWARENESS = PREVENTION
Global Impact works extensively and proactively to combat this form of abuse and exploitation through our Freedom Campaign – education and awareness being a crucial factor in preventing these crimes against children.
Over 1 million pieces of literature have been distributed through our Freedom Campaign.

Children from a local school read Global Impact pamphlets teaching them how to stay safe at an outreach held January 25th.

In January over 200 students along with their teachers received preventative training from Global Impact to protect them from OSAEC.
40 high ranking officials from government agencies including the Philippine National Police attended Global Impact’s all day training January 29th learning tools to combat human trafficking and OSAEC in the Philippines.
Help us continue to fight human trafficking on the front lines!
CELEBRATION & SORROW IN UKRAINE
Pastor Amy reports on her recent trip.
What a joyous reunion! It was my first trip to Ukraine since 2019 – before the pandemic and the Russian invasion three years ago. I felt God saying it was time to return and I was amazed how quickly things fell into place and I was thrilled to be there for our “Christmas is Love” outreaches and the 13 year Anniversary Celebration of Living Pearl Children’s Home.

It was such a joy to be with the kids and staff during the Christmas festivities and anniversary party – so much excitement was in the air!
I also preached in area churches. One service was so cold that the people in attendance wore coats and hats and mittens the whole time. Russia had bombed a power plant on Christmas day leaving many Ukrainians without heat and power.

At another special service for Christmas and New Years, it was standing room only! About 600 people attended including many unbelievers and first time church attendees. It was so incredible to share the gospel with them!
I also ministered to Pastors and Leaders in Ukraine, caring for them, loving on them and just encouraging them after all they have been through.

Before my trip ended, I toured the war torn parts of the area seeing first hand the devastating impact on people’s lives. I visited the memorial for our Living Pearl son Dima. He grew up at Living Pearl, served as a soldier when the war broke out and tragically was killed in action. I was also privileged to visit area hospitals, ministering and praying for the soldiers. One hospital has around 100 soldiers coming in every single day with severe injuries.
