Celebrating ten years of empowering emerging leaders to become a catalyst of change in their communities, the Catalyst Leadership Academy 2018 kicked off with the theme “Heroes”. Student leaders from all over Mindanao took the life-changing challenge of becoming God’s heroes.
For the past decade, CLA has focused on developing effective leaders through powerful teaching, experiential learning and practical application. CLA is grounded upon Leadership, Freedom, Service and Mission.
LEADERSHIP
Believing that every person has the capacity to lead, CLA highlights both practical and spiritual leadership skills. The adventure leadership course prepares students to lead Conquest camps by teaching group communication, briefing and debriefing, running effective activities and team building.
FREEDOM
Staying true to our vision of “Releasing Freedom”, we devote a whole week ministering to the lives of the students with the help of our international ministry team. Students encounter genuine love and grace from God leading them to peace and joy in their lives.
MISSION
Recognizing our greater call to serve the Lord, Catalysts are encouraged to pursue their God-given mission, living beyond self-interest, and having compassion towards the nations.
SERVICE
Ready to lead with a heart to serve, CLA inculcates to students the importance of service both in front and behind the scenes administered in humility and love.
INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY TEAM
Coming from different corners of the world, friends and partners come together to form our international ministry team. They exhort the students and serve as real-life examples of God’s grace and faithfulness releasing blessings and love in His Name. Special thanks to Hope Centre New Zealand for sending a ministry team each year!
ELECTIVES AND EVENTS
Adding up to the whole leadership journey, students had special electives such as Dance, Drama, Hearing from God, and Human Trafficking Awareness Facilitator Training. Moreover, this year we partnered with Worship Together Polomolok for our final event at Polomolok, South Cotabato where we joined other believers in lifting Jesus’ Name!
