Global Impact Invited To Philippines Senate Hearings

PHILIPPINES

Global Impact was invited to Senate hearings and sent Marydith Desabelle, Global Impact’s Advocacy Director. These Senate Hearings were related to the rising cases of online sexual abuse and exploitation of children (OSAEC) and child sexual abuse and exploitive material (CSAEM). Contributing to policy reform at all levels of government is an area we work actively in to help ensure that the laws being created and implemented are proactive and grounded in real-world issues.

Since 2020, Global Impact has been involved in Senate Committee hearings specifically focused on OSAEC and CSAEM. As one of the key stakeholder invitees, Marydith represented a larger group of Christians in the country, the Coalition of Concerned Families of the Philippines of which Global Impact is a member.

An update from Pastor Sasha, Living Pearl Children’s Home Co-Founder

UKRAINE

We were visited last month by our graduate of Living Pearl – Vitya!

He is a true hero, a man of incredible strength and courage. From the first days of the war, he defended Ukraine, risking his own life for the sake of our peace even after months in terrible conditions of captivity, pain, trials and struggle for life. But God performed a miracle and Vitya was freed!

We were infinitely happy to see him again, to hug him and thank him for everything!

Living Pearl graduate Vitya and Pastor Sasha, March 2025

This month has been difficult, as have all these three years since war became an everyday reality for us. Our children wake up and fall asleep to the sounds of sirens. They know what warplanes and explosions sound like.

We thank YOU! Thanks to your support, our children feel protected. They are not left alone with fear, because they have warmth, food, clothing, and opportunities for learning and development.

They continue to thrive and dream about the future. They have loving workers and volunteers around them who will hug, support, and comfort them. The war is near. But you are also near! And this constancy in your care is priceless.

“Thank you for your faith in our children! Thank you for making them feel like children, even in these terrible hours. With love and gratitude!” -Pastor Sasha & Pastor Amy

We are in need of donors who would partner with us on a monthly basis for the needs of our Ukraine children’s home.

Would you join us in partnership?

South Island To North Island

NEW ZEALAND

Pastor Amy’s speaking & ministry tour continued in New Zealand and was simply amazing!
From speaking on the topic of ending modern day slavery at a business leader’s conference to sharing messages at multiple churches and ministering to church leaders through freedom prayer sessions. It was incredibly full and rich with God’s presence.
A very special part of the trip was the accompaniment of Jorgen Jordan (pictured above) from Global Impact Philippines who shared with many New Zealanders her personal story which highlighted the power of intervention through Global Impact’s Anti-trafficking and Education Sponsorship programs.

Jorgen, a former scholarship recipient, is now an advocate and a leader working to inspire and give back to others!

enter the God zone – where God takes what you offer Him and multiplies it!
You’ll be inspired to give God what you have even if it appears small or insignificant, and even if you feel inexperienced or unqualified. Remember, God desires to partner with you to create miracles!

Be encouraged to live in the resiliency and move in the compassion that Jesus modeled.

“After hearing Pastor Amy’s message, I felt both inspired and challenged to step out in faith, trusting God to nurture my growth and multiply my “not enough”.

Education: A Shield And A Pathway

PHILIPPINES

Education serves as a crucial factor not only in preventing issues like exploitation and trafficking but also in enabling young people to access a brighter future.

Global Impact’s Scholarship Program assists marginalized Filipino families, sending their children to school, which provides them with better life opportunities.

For the 2024-2025 school year, Global Impact supported 30 scholars from underprivileged backgrounds including Aldrian (pictured left) who graduated senior year with honors and now plans to pursue a degree in Information Technology through the support of Global Impact’s scholarship program.

We are so proud of Aldrian and all our Global Impact scholars for working hard, persevering and showing excellence in their academics as well as in their spiritual and personal growth.

A heartfelt “THANK YOU” to our faithful sponsors for their unwavering support to the program.
