The month of January brought Living Pearl two more precious Pearls to care for. Children’s Services contacted us and requested that we take two siblings in from the local hospital, two year old David and one year old Franka. Their biological mom is a single parent who is addicted to alcohol and has alcohol induced seizures. When under the influence she would abuse the children and have no memory of what happened.
Their first few days at Living Pearl were emotionally difficult for them. There were a lot of tears and not much sleep. But through consistent love and care from our staff the children have settled into our Living Pearl family. As these Pearls are being loved and nurtured we are thrilled to see their emotions calm and their joyful, carefree personalities starting to come out!
