Modern-day slavery or human trafficking is the sale of men, women, and children for labor, sexual exploitation, and organs. It is a $150 billion criminal business that is impacting over 50 million individuals worldwide. The prevalence of human trafficking has increased by 25% in the past 5 years globally – from 40M in 2017 to 50M+ in 2022. Traffickers profit more than Apple, Microsoft, or Google with an estimated $150 annual profit. No nation and no community are immune.

Global Impact is a recipient of the prestigious National Break All Chains Award for its Awareness and Prevention initiatives in the fight against human trafficking and of the Outstanding NGO Award by the Regional Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force of the Department of Justice in recognition of its vital role in catalyzing significant advocacy milestones.
At the forefront of the advocacy campaign, Global Impact educates and empowers the vulnerable, at-risk and survivors to enable them to fight back, to keep themselves and others safe from exploitation. Trained and experienced personnel reach as far as the jungles where the Indigenous Peoples live to educate these highly vulnerable people to prevent them from labor exploitation, recruited with false promises of well-paying legitimate jobs only to end up abused and exploited.
